Herve-Terratag Ghetto Bass robot album artwork

Paul Nicholson, Terratag designed Aphex Twin's logo and toured the world as a backup dancer with Richard in the 90s.

And as the Summer of Love 09 pushes on - it moves in 21-year cycles - Terratag went electro-ghetto-bass-tastic when we hooked them up with Herve aka The Count to produce his exclusive artwork.
Annie Mac introduced us to Josh (Herve) at Creamfields last year. He explained he was a fan of Paul's and the Gundam robots and wanted his very own 'robot with a massive schlonger past his knees.' We reckon Paul did him justice.
The result is Herve's double-album Ghetto Bass. Youch!

On our travels we went raving and 'Taggin' various celebs - mission complete:

Black Kids
Hercules & Love Affair
Fake Blood
Lord Skywave
Black Ghosts
Annie Mac
Herve
Bombay Bicycle Club
Calvin Harris
Hadouken!
Felix Cartal
Princess Superstar
Everton Tigers
Simian Mobile Disco

White Lies party Studio 2 - 06.03.09

Big thanks to the White Lies and Cameron and Ian at Studio 2 for a killer party. Jack's set included La Roux, Ladyhawke, MGMT and more electro-discotheque-ness.

Cheers Andy Prior aka Rainman aka Mr Dead for the fierce white tiger artwork. And ClickLiverpool for the coverage, Barbieshop and the Swiines for the live tunes.

Ruben Wu (Ladytron), Natasha Hamilton (Atomic Kitten) rolled up and got their faces on their own beer for the night.

In love with Studio 2, named two of the bonsai trees Steve and Bushy that night. This shall be the first of many bashes...

Highlights of 2008 - If ya don't know, now ya know..

Dear peeps

Hope you're all bursting at the seams from cripsy duck, dim sum and merriment. We're revelling in our Chinese heritage and wish you a happy and prosperous 2009... but before we cross that line we want to take you on a journey back through our top 8 dates of 2008.

Carrying our P.Rev banner, we only worked the last six months of the year, but here are some of the best moments we managed to squeeze in...

June, 26 * Nearly dying listening to Does It Offend You, Yeah? Hadouken! and Black Ghosts at Rock Ness, then scoring Fake Blood off Theo and Simon from Amber's MySpace crush the Black Ghosts.

Black Ghosts & Purple Revolver

* Discovering Calvin Harris says 'Oooh!' in real life after talking him onside for a scary party publicity stunt to coincide with his next release... Any sponsors or friendly fires interested in this project should hit us up...
Purple Revolver & Calvin Harris sandwich

July, 7 * Talking noodles with Bobbly Steeles aka RZA and hearing from him that QT enjoyed our Death Proof party and Liverpool bar-hopping session before later enjoying a Wu rollie with him backstage at The Picket. Best 2008 show in Liverpool wethinks.

Sept, 3 * Hercules & Love Affair show at the Thekla, Bristol... cosmicfunkdisco rocked the love boat. Small crowd but huge vibes from our top music group to emerge last year. Our favourite disco-funk show of the year yo. We also caught them at Becks Fusion Manchester and Creamfields.
Purple Rev & Hercules & Love Affair rhythm section
(Guy, Andy R, Morgan)

Aug, 16 * Emptying the keg at Nerd Fest, Detroit Comics, Michigan and coming close runner-up in the shortest shorts contest to local pro-wrestler D-Ray... Grrr!

* 08-08-08... The madness that was our Eternal Eightfalls party in NYC with Princess Superstar and Felix Cartal. We arrived only to be told the original venue Studio B had been shut down by the authorities six days before the show.

Favourite moment... fearing for our lives as the Polish club boss and his bouncer with his arm in a sling invited us upstairs in the deserted club to count our cash deposit return. Very Goodfellas. Big thanks to Guy Licata for hooking us up with the alternate venue and all the people who showed up and showed love.

Aug, 23 * Backstage at Creamfields... watching Andy Butler getting mobbed by random music media types including Young, Black and Gifted. When he strolled past us had a chat and told Amber: 'I got your e-mail' bout the invite to our NYC gig. Swoon... Also running out of Terratag
tees for Ashton Kutcher look-a-like Herve, giving Theo (Fake Blood) the shirt off my back.

Nov, 13 * Hadouken! and DJ TigerStyle Stripes Go Faster disco at Carling Academy. Blagging the lads into the Magnet for free post-gig by telling the guy on the door they were Muse. Ha ha they weren't very impressed, wanted to go for Radiohead.

Looking forward to what we've got going on in 2009...

Street teaming... do you want to get into gigs free and be at the forefront on the industry's hottest murketing force? We have many opportunities coming up soon... All American Rejects, Elbow, General Fiasco, Hollywood Undead, V.V.Brown, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Skint & Demoralised, Filthy Dukes, Gay Blades among others.

So Happy Chinese New Year from Purple Revolver... Boom!

Best wishes
Amber and Andy
